Girlguiding Ulster A summary of the Charws main activities to further its purposes for the publlc benefit and the main achievements in the year Guides continued to meet weekly in the hall in 2022/23. We completed UK Parliament Week 2022 & WAGGGS Thinking Day 2023 activities. We celebrated International Women's Day, Chinese New Year, The King's Coronation, Earth Day, World Book Day & Harvest. We found out about Guides collecting cotton reels during the war & learned about Dogs in War. We joined with our Brownies & Rainbows for several events including decorating a tree in the Christmas Tree Festival. a Christmas Coffee & Craft fundraiser, a visit from Almost Home animal charity & a cinema trip to see "The Little Mermaid" Guides also went to see "Matilda the Musical" & took part in the South East Dlvlsion Games Night. The Guides baked Gooey Smores bars & cookies and did lots of craft activities. Brownies & Guides finished the year with a weekend in the Ranger Cottage at Lorne. Badgework ... UMAS: High Flyers, Props to You, Lava, Time Travellers, Pekish Pengulns, Awful Adverts, Knock Knock, Galactic Getaway, Binary Breakdown, People in the News, Tap It Out, One Small Step. Skills Builders: Reflect, Influence, Explore, Make Change (all Stage 3); Interest Badges: Human Rights & Craftivism; Other: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow Challenge & Coronation and Kindness Challenge.
