DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE The Purpose of each of these Charities is to eduote w'rls and young women to help them develop emotlonally, mentallyi physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive ntribution to their Community and the wider world. ACTIVITIES AND OBJEcfivES Throughout the year. we do various activitie5 Wlth the girls including crafts, games and baking. All of our activities aim to encourage the girls to think of others. such as raising money from a sponsored walkto help sponsor the education of a boy living in Peru. ACHIEVEMEKfs AND PERFORMANCE 2019 was successful in meeting the objectives of bringing together the girls, to create an envlronment of friendship. PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT 97 Belfast Rainbows Unit meets the public benefit requirement by providing a cross community, safe environment ft)r all girls in the local area to meet and have fun together. The trustees of 9fh Belfast Rainbows Unit have had regard to the Charity Commission Public benefit requirement statutory guldance FINANCIAL REVIEW The chariVs overall financial position has improved, as shown bythe Increase in the funds carried forward from £1257.33 at year end of 2018, to £1723.30 at year end of 2019.

As the charitvs total Income does not exceed £250,000, the Trustees have elected under Section 6413) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 208 to prepare a receipts and payment account and a statement of assets and liabilities. The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufflcient to show and explain the unit's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time its financial position.
