All Girl8uiding Ulster charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.
DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them
develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive
contribution to their Community and the widerworld.
ACTIVITIES ANO OBJECTIVES
Throughout the year, we do various acttvities with the girls includin8 crafts, games and
baking. All of our activities aim to encourage the girls to think of others, such as raising
money from a sponsored walk for Tearfund toilet twinning projett. and helpin8 to sponsor
the education of a boy living in Peru.
ACHIEVEMEMfs AND PERFORMANCE
2018 was successful in meeting the objectives of bringing together the girls. to create an
environment of friendship.
PUBUC BENEFrr STATEMENT
97 Belfast Rainbows Unit meets the public benefit requirement by providing a cross
community, safe environment forall girls in the local area to meet and have fun together.
The trustees of 97 Belfast Rainbows Unit have had regard to the Charity Commission Public
benefit requi￿rnent statutory guidance
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The charitrfs overall financial position has improved, as shown by the increase in the funds
carried fonlvard from £910.95 at year end of 2017. to £1257.33 at year end of 2018.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBIUTIES
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report and the financial statements of
the charity in accordance with applicable law and generally accepted accounting practice.
As the charitvs total income does not exceed £250.IX)O. the Trustees have elected under
Settion 64131 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 208 to prepare a receipts and payment
account and a statement of assets and liabilities.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to
show and explain the ￿nIt'S transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time
its financial position. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and
hence for taking ￿aSonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.
