Everyone attending then introduced themselves.

The positive effect that PTA events has on promoting interactive relationships and promoting the school ethos was discussed. It was thought that throughout the year events had been well supported and attended by the school family. Alyson Watson gave a financial report (report attached to minutes).

Items bought for school by PTA.

Funding was given for each teacher.

MBPS equipment : miscellaneous, music system, flag pole, 2 ipads.

About £8500 currently in account, however new projector and screen still need to be paid for. Speakers still needed. Mr Good to sort payment.

Mr Good opened the floor to questions. Claire asked if there was anything the school needed? Mr Good will discuss with staff and let PTA know at the next meeting.

MR Good explained that school would be getting an extra classroom this year funded by the board. Work starting next month for a possible 4/5 months. New room, store and cloak area. Unfortunately school will loose its covered area, which is relied upon in wet days for school pick ups but also for children who like to play under a more sheltered area. Mr Good suggested a possibility of PTA helping to provide a covered area as a replacement for the area which will be lost. The New classroom will be furnished as by the board requirements. There will be some equipment that will need to be bought, and it was suggested that PTA may like to help with this.

A thank- you was given to Joe Fletcher and Geoffry Wilson for helping out throughout the many years at MeadowBridge.

Christmas Fair 18/11/16

The Christmas fair is usually the first Friday night in December. However this year the dates of AQE and GL run into the first weekend of December. It was felt that it was unfair to have the fair the night before an AQE exam. Taking the fair into December is very busy and from previous experience wasn’t well attended as it was too close to Christmas. The 18[th] November is the only date which doesn’t clash with an AQE exam. Therefore it was decided to have the Christmas fair on the 18/11/16.
