## Activities

**Purposes:** 3.   	OBJECTS  3.1	The Association is established to develop the capacity and skills of young people from the [socially and economically] disadvantaged communities in Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs, and to participate more fully in society and in particular:  a)	the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of young people by the provision of facilities for playing basketball.  b)	to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation, education or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for young people.

**What the charity does:** The advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation or the promotion of  religious or racial harmony or equality and diversity
