This will include its purposes, achievements, beneficiaries, etc. Holy Trinity Church. Eglish Parish, was built in the downland of Drumsallan in 1821 and is set in beautiful natural gmunds, five miles from the centre of the city of Armagh. Around the building is a quite extensive graveyard, with graves dating back to 18205. serving the community, notjust Church of Ireland parishioners. There are ruins of the previous building close to the vlllage of Artasooly, dating back to the 16th tentury. This site also houses ancient standing crosse5, which attract attention from many historical groups. Thls site also hosts a pre-ReformatSon graveyard, with many local family graves being traced to this location. The parish can tracè its roots back to the fifth centLSry, making it one of the oldest parishes In the diocese. Our parish is mainly rural, covering a laTBe area in County Anytagh. Our mission is to explore and grow ift our faith, love and worship of God. 3ftd to extend a hand of welcomè and love to others in our communty. We do this through regular public worship, community outreach, and offering help and facilities to the communlty. The parlsh belong5 to a group of Church of Ireland parishes which includes Clonfea¢le and oerrygOrtrea Parlshes. Public Wor5hlp The congregation of HolyTrinity Church, Partsh of Eglish Iknown as'orumsallan, due to its location) meets each Sunday mornlng at 9.30am. The monthly worship schedule comprises servlces of Holy Communion on the first and tFiird Sundays, and Morning Prayer or A Se¥vice of the Word on the third and fourth Sundays. All servi$ are for all ages and all are welcome. We take an intergenerational approach. Gathering for worship was severely disrupted in 2020 by Covid-19. so many of our services were recorded and posted online for parishioners and others to avail of from their homes. Nevertheless, we were ablè to pmvide online services, prayer meetings and Bible studies, online, includlng during Lent, Holy Week and Easter, and an online Sunday school and some Youth online events. We were glad to bè able to reopen the church and its sister churches in the parochial group on 30 September 2020. The recorded online Services, along with live online prayer and Bible studies and other planning meètings for parish-related affairs, involved the contributions of many parishioners, of all ages, and there was a 5en5e of solidarity and mutual support between parishioners as a result. We continued throughout 2021 to provide online video recorded services for people who were unable to return to in-person worship. This mlnistry continues in 2022. Traditionally the parlsh holds an Annual Harvest Weekend on the Second weekend in October. comprising a Friday Evening Prayer service at 8pm, a Sunday moming H3rve5t Family Service at 9.30am, and a Sunday Evening Prayer setrvi at 7pm. This wa5 scaled down In the circumstances of a pandemic to a single Servi and the Harvest Supper in the Parish Hall that tradStlon311yt3kes place after the Friday evening service did not take place for reasons of tovid safety and

It was a joy therefore in 2021 to be able to reinstste the tradltional Services and to orjce agalft offer refreshments in the parish hall. The same Ipandemlcl circurnstances meant that, as with other churches, attendance at services dropped, and the partlclpatlon of our children and young people in Services such as the Nativity Servi in Dernber was curtailed. We were pleased therefore in 2021 to recover some of the lost momentum surrounding Advent and Christmas activities and setvices. In 2021, parishioners again contributed generously with gifts for the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. Our annual Servi of Nine Lessons and Carols took place on the Sunday bèfore Christmas 2021, this year wlth tea and refreshments once again bein8 served in the Parish Hall. We observed Lènt in 2021 in person rather than online as had bèen the ¢a5e, of necessity, Sn thè previous year, and a full quots of Holy Week services accordin8 to the Anglican tradition. At in-church services (which resumed on 30th Septernber 20201 we continue to maintain a regular weekly Pattem of traditional Anglican worship, following the Revised Common Lectionary for service themes, a sèrmon, children's talk. readSng5 and hymn5. Holy Trinity Church has a well maintained pipe organ and two organists who share the normal pattem of Services during the month. Prior to the pandemic, an Occasional Choir comprising enthusiastic parishioners of all ages, contributed at Harvest and Carol services, and at other special servl¢es throughout the year. In 2021 we have been glad to revive this aspett of the church and parish's life. All men7bers of the wlder community are welcome at any or all of our services. Our Churchwardens and stewards welcome all attendees and visitors to the church at each service. and vlsitors and any newcomers arè given any help or welcome they need to feel 'at home,. We believe this hospitality is an important aspètt of our ministry and Christian witness as a parish as it reftects the love and hospltallty of God. Community Outreach We havè a small team of dedlcated Sunday school teachers, and each Sunday morning btheen September and May, under non-pandemic cruMstan5, there is a Sunday School during the moming seTvice. from 9.30am to approximately 10.30am. This is held in the Parish Hall, located dirertly across thè rtsad from the Church building. The children are included in every service and are present either atthe start of the Service of Morning Prayer, or at the end of thè Holy Communion Service. Sunday school ig open to all children aged 4 to 16, whether parishioners or otherwlse. The more senior children study Bible passages each week. based on the lertionary readings be¥ng following in Church that Sunday. The Sunday School children are invited to assist In services in appropriate ways, and occasionally perform simple dramas, readings or prayers, and often sing at the Nativity seNi¢e. They also particlpate in the annual Children's Day and Prize8ivin8 Servi in May orjune. The grouped parishes have a Youth Group which prlor to the first covid lockdown met monthly in either Eglish/Drumsallan Parish Ftall or Clonfeade/Benburb Parish Hall, usually on a Sunday evenin& for games, crafts, social time, the leaming of bowls as a sport/gamÈ, Bible teachin& music and food. Funds were raised by the three parlshes via a 'cash-for-clobberf clothes-donation effort to support our youth ministry. In 2021 we were pleased, with the commitment and help of a dedicated team of volunteers, to revive our youth ministry with a monthly programme for the voung people of the grouped parishes. This work continues and is under development and we hope 500n to Use the Fnoney raised earlaer to provide the young people with a hoodie emb055ed with a speclally4esigned logo.
