Financial review 2023
For the 2023 Financial year there was a def icit of £17,414
F.W.O and donations amounted to 60.770 of the total income, a slight decrease from last year's 637.
with investment income just over 1970 compared with 21 /0 in 2022. These changes in proportion are
mainly due to Bank interest having become a much more Signif icant source of income, and hence
proportion, than in previous years, rather than a decrease in income.
F.W.O and donations alongside investment income continue to ref lect the main sources of income, as
over the last number of years.
The F.W.O and donations have remained constant throu9hout the year while a claim for Gift Aid
helped to enhance the income and has left a healthy balance in the bank.
The investments which are held in RC8 Unit Trusts have remained steady and offer a good return.
Income f rom Land Lettings has gone up slightly f rom 2022.
As in the previous year regular outgoings have been kept as well under control as is possible. but
these have been subject to inf lationary pressures.
Signif icant 'one off. expenditure of £14,086 for Rectory upkeep and repairs, alongside an increase in
the Diocesan Assessment due to having f ull time clergy for the year 2023 account for the bulk of
the def icit.
The Charity also made contributions to a number of outside organisations in total £2,899.65 which
was an increase of 69 /0 on the previous year.
