Purposes of the Association

– Purpose 1

Advancement of Education of the pupils in the school.

Our PTA have worked very hard over the last year to raise much needed funds for the school to improve their overall education and maintain good links with the parents. St Joseph’s Primary School is a small rural school with 136 children. The pupils in the school make good progress which is greatly enhanced through them having access to resources, activities and events which cannot be funded by the school budget in the current financial constraints. The principal activity for achieving this objective is by holding fundraising activities throughout the year. The main areas for fundraising were to contribute towards enhancing ICT provision by purchasing iPads and cases.

The main fundraising activities held during 2024/2025 were as follows: -

Halloween Disco

Bring & Buy Sale

Christmas raffle Split the pot

Tuck shop at Christmas show

Tombola

Pyjama Day

Not only did these events provide a social occasion for staff, pupils and parents in the school, but also raised funds to further enhance pupils’ learning across the school from the money raised and improve the overall health and wellbeing of the children.

Money raised and donated to the school was used to help fund the following: -

Ipads

Contributing towards P7 leavers’ hoodies

St Joseph’s PTA ‘s finances at the end of the year had a balance of £1,191.73

Safeguarding

We are satisfied that effective safeguarding is in place.
