Chrlstlan religion by promotln& through the WO￿ of the Parish of tjonaghmore Upper, St Patrick's Chuich ol
Ireland, the whole mission of the Church. pastoral, evan6dlsU4 soclal and ecumenlcal. Being open to and
enga8in8 wlth soclety as a whole and offerln8 SUPPOrt for those needln8 help are fur)damental to the prattical
delivery of the benefits of Chrlstianity.

The Churth e￿sts prlmarlly, •rKI above all ebse, as a place of Christian worshlp. Senrfos of public worshlp are
held each Sunday moming throughout the year. Evening 5er¥ices are held on Wednesday nlghts durlng Lent,
each nlght in Holy Week (both shared wlth our51ster parshesl. In March forthe Glrts Friendlysoclety enrolment,
at Harvest Thanks8lvln& and a Chrlstmas Carol Ser¥ice. Slncetheenforced lockdown In the early months of 2021
all servlces have also been broadcast online.
The parish Is alway5 pleased to host groups from the wlder communlty. and does so annualty for the Orange
Order. The local Prlmary School holds Its annual Caml Servke In the thurch.
There are 8ood WOfkln8 relatlonshlps wtth other local churches.

The Church was bullt In 1843 wlth a grant from the Board of Flrst Frui￿ and enlar8ed and re-orlented duri
the 1860$ by the addition of a semi<ircular apse. vestry and tower.
The parlsh supports a small tr￿t active and Browing Sunday S(hool, whlch meets most weeks from September to
May. a Glrls Friendly Society which meets weekty during the winter months, and there 15 a Mothers. Union
meetlng monthly. The local Women's Institute and other non-affliliated 8roups meet re8ulafly in the Parish Hall.
Parish finan￿ and fabri¢ are cared for by the Select VW. Various ralslng and KKfial events are held to
support the parfsh.
The parish sUPPOrts several missionary 8roups. particularty CMS and the Church Amiy. There is also 3 serles of
speual appeals and colbetiicrts for various local and intwnattonal 8roup5 and In Ilght of International di5a5ters.

Hnanclal Revlew
The chlef source of revenue lor the thurth continues to be parlshioner donatoons which are
supplemented by 8ift aid daims. Whilst income remained broadly simllar to the previous year, running
costs ako were well below income for a second year. The church recorded a total surplus in 2025 of
£8,67512024.- Surplus £9,082).

The Trustees have r￿leWed the budgets for the year ahead and are sausfied th¥t there are adequate funds In
pla￿ to ensure that the Parlsh can continue its acti¥itbes and the financial statements for the year ended 31
De￿rnber 2025 can be signed off as a going cOn￿rn.

Vestry members are the Charlty Trustees
All members of the Chur¢h of Irelanil who are over the age of 18 and are elther restdent vlthln the parlsh or Ilve
elsewhere but have been èccusiomed members of the congregation for at feast three months, may re8lSter as
members of the general vestry ol the parlsh. al￿wIng them to attend and vote at meetrnBS ofthe general vestry
and to stand for electlon to the select vesiry. Meetln85 of the general vestry are hehl at least ono a year. The
Select Vestry Is elected as part of thls General Vestry meetinB. The Select Vestry will hold thelr positlons for a
perlod of one year. Select Vestry members may be re-elected annually and there is no limit on the number of
temis whl¢h may be sefved.
Pay and remuneratk
Selett Vestry members are not remunerated forthelrservicesasT¥ustees. Any payments toTrusteesforservices
unrelated to their role as a Trustee are approved by the Select Vestry. Such decision5 are taken on the basls of
good govemance and beln8 in the pursuit of the objectives and att￿l￿e5 of the parish.

The Select Vestry meets at times fixed by the members or by the Diocesan Synod. Special meetlngs may be
convened at any time by the chairper50n or the churthwardens. In 2025 the Select Vestry met 3 time5 during
the year and the average attendan￿ was 65%.

prepare a ststement of receipts and payments and a statement of assets and liabilities for each financial year.
The trusteès are responsible for keeping accountin8 records that are sufficient to show and explain the Parlsh's
transactlons and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the a$5ets and Ilabllities of the Parlsh. They are
also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Partsh an(1 heno for takin8 reasonable steps for the
PreVen￿On and detecthon of fraud and other Irregularftles.
