The opening balance for September 2023 was £4,566.20 the total raised for the year was £6,966.74 which was generated from fundraising events/grants. The amount spent throughout the year for the school was £8,939.07 leaving our balance in account on 31[st] August 2024 £2,293.97 plus £300 in cash with a total of £2,593.97.

At our first meeting we discussed Breakfast with Santa which we agreed that we would do the same as previous year the Breakfast Bap, the breakfast took place on Saturday 2[nd] December 2023. Due to kitchen facilities this was the best option, the breakfast was well supported and all who attended gave good feedback that they enjoyed the breakfast and meeting up with everyone. We had a couple of stalls this year Countryside crochet (Emily McClelland) and our cake stall as it is always popular.

The PTA would like to thank all who sponsored and donated for our breakfast with Santa, A detailed list was set out on tables and put on facebook showing all who donated towards the breakfast. A special thank you to all who helped from cooking, serving and cleaning up and especially Santa and his helper and the girls who sold hamper tickets. Letters of thanks were sent to everyone who donated food or money towards this event. The amount raised from the breakfast, hamper and cake stall was very successful. The total raised was £2,417.00.

We also did a few other fundraising events throughout the year.

We did Easter Hampers which raised £592.00

Sponsored Walk & Picnic in Antrim Castle Gardens, which took place on Saturday 8[th] June 2024. This event raised £1,471.00

Our annual sports night complete with tuck shop was very successful raising £170 and it was enjoyed not only by the children but the adults, especially the mummy’s race and Daddy’s tug of war.

I would again like to thank everyone from the PTA, Teachers, parents also the whole school community as without you we would not be able to raise the funds we do for Bellaghy Primary. In doing all the fundraising for the school we do benefit as this year we were able to purchase the following which will be of great benefit for the children.

The classrooms were able to purchase new Clevertouch screens at £5,822.27 which the PTA help fund. Also, funding was granted for 4 outdoor sand diggers and a sandpit which we are really grateful to Alex for all her work put into applying for grants. Everyones work within the PTA is greatly appreciated.

To finish the AGM, I also would like to thank all the teachers at Bellaghy Primary school as without them Bellaghy primary would not be the school it is.

I now present this report and ask that it be adopted.
