Trustees, Annual Report for the year ended 01.07.22 The Trustees presentthe Annual Report and Statements of Receipt5 and Payments andAssets and Liabilities for the Knockbreda Primary School Parent Teacher Association for the year ended 01.07.22 Charitable Purposes The Charitable purposes of charity are: To advance the education of the pupils in the school by developing effective relationship between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which supports the school and advances the education of the pupils. Public Benefit The public benefit of the charity are twofold.. l. Improved relotionships between home and school The benefit which flows from this purpose includes funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstrated throuEh having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for children at Knockbreda Primary School. Charity trustees (PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit 15 incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries. 2. Advancing the education of pupils in the school. The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community wh ich are not available through direct school funding. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for children at Knockbreda Primary School. Charity trustees (PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the School which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries. What our organisation does Collection of personal contributions (Gift Aided where applicable) from parents or other family members of children who are at Knockbreda Primary School and collection of personal contributions IGift Aided where applicable) from other members of the public who have a tangible connection with Knockbreda Primary School.
Activities and Achievements To further the purposes for the public benefit, we carried out the following activities: Christmas Movie Day, three non-uniform days, Easter and Valentines Ballots and a Sponsored Bounce. The main achievements of the charity in the year were: l. Despite restrictions due to the impatt of Covid19, small scale in school events were well supported. The Easter and Valentines ballots were successful as was the movie day which was held in separate classrooms. The outdoor sponsored bounce was a 8reat opportunity for the children to let off some steam. A review of the charit¢s financial position at the end of the year.. In the financial 2021 to 2022. The Charity had an income of £799.26 and an expenditure of £2463.42. Golng Concern The trustees have reviewed the budgets for the year ahead and are satisfied that there are adequate funds in place to ensure that the Trust can continue its attivities and the financial statements for the year ended 01.07.22 can be signed off as a going concern. Strurture, Governance and Management The Charity was formed in November 2015 and constituted as an unincorporated association. It is governed by the Constitution and the fund is managed by the appointed Trustees. The trustees have read the Commission's Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance, and have had regard to this when running the charity. Pay and remuneration The Trustees are not in a paid capacity. They are all actin8 on a voluntary basis. There is no remuneration to report. Organisational Structure The Trustees are responsible for the day to day management of the Fund. The Trust 15 chaired by Sarah Gamble. The Trustees are responsible for making decisions on matters of general concern and importance to the Trust including deciding how funds are to be applied. The Trustees meet attimes fixed by the members. Special meetings may be convened at anytime by the chairperson. In the year in question, the Trustees were unable to meet due to Covid19 restrictions. Statement of Trustees. Responsibllities The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the statement of receipts and payments and statement of assets and liabilities in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland with Income of less than £250,000 requires the trustees to prepare a statement of receipts and payments and a statement of assets and liabilities for each financial year. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements
