The charity 15 aware of its responslbilities relatlng to vulnerable adults and has discussed the matter with Julia and Bela. We appreciate that this is a difficult area to manage as we are not on the ground on a regular basis. This area will remain under review. There are seven residents currently living in the centre. They range in age from 16 to 37 years old. Two have been diagnosed with Mild Learning Difficulties, two with Down's Syndrome and one has physical health problems. Others who have now left the centre keep in contact. The centre also provides assistance to some of the young people who live in Oradea by providing food parcels and assisting with rent and heating costs.
Health care is an important aspect of the work within the centre. Costs in this area are relatively expensive,- vislts to the Doctor and prescription medication have to be paid for. Dental char8es are also an added cost. Trust contributions are vital in thi5 area. Part of the work In the centre is teaching new skills to the young people and providing meaningful work. All of the residents work in the kitchen and some are involved in the dellvery of the food they make. Julia runs the kitchen and has taught the young people to bake. They bake cakes, bread and prepare me315 to order and deliver to different parts of the town on a daily basis. They also produce food which is sold In the local market. The centre has a hen house, which15 looked after by one of the young people. They produce enough eggs and meat to meet their requlrements.
