ACHIEVEMENTS

Squirrels

Squirrels group is growing with the help of new volunteers and extra support for junior group leaders. For continued growth and support, additional helpers are needed. Group is to review plans to recruit, grow adult helper support.

Beavers

We are encouraged by the growth in Beaver numbers. This has allowed us to complete a full programme for the year, with overnight stays returning and badgework being complete as individuals and as a group. This growth will aid the section as a whole, as they move on from Beavers to Cubs.

Cub Scouts

The Cub Scout Section continues to retain healthy numbers. Silver Scout awards were completed by 6 members who moved on the Scouts. – A Camp at Crawfordsburn was completed as well as an overnight stay in the Church Hall.

Scouts

The Scout Section with the aid of Cubs moving on and through the addition of new – members to scouting continues to focus on fun and personal development through team games, badge work and with the aim to complete a camp later in the year. With The Scout Group benefiting from the EA grant this presented gret opportunity for the groups to provide an excellent camping experience

Explorer Scouts

No members of explorer age during this period, driven by a gap in age group as a – result of drop off during covid it is anticipate this can be returned to normal in the coming year with 4 scouts eligible to move on to Explorers.
