The prlnclpal function of Mullavilly Par15h Church Is to support the advary￿rnent of the Christian rellgion by
promoting, through the work of Mullavilly Parish Church th¢ whole mission of the Churchi pastoral evan8elistlc,
social and ecumenical, Bein8 open to the en8a8lng with society as a whole and offering support for those needin8
help are fundamental to the pr3rtical delivery of the benefSt5 Of Christlanity,

Sunday Worshlp
Sunday Servlces at 9,30am. 11gm and at 7pm for special occasions throughout the year.
This included a range of different types of seryices such as Holy Communion, Fgmily Serylces, Baptism Service5,
Morning Prayer, Healin8 Services, Weddlngs and Funerals, with special Pralse SeNices In September and
December.
Our 'Church Mirx, Sroup of pre-school 48e children recommenced durins the year and a Small number avall of
this each Sunday as requlred.
Our Sunday School and 'Junlor Class, meet each week around 20-25 chlldren,
Our Weekly Activities meet the needs of g wide ronge of qges ond people In the parlsh and community.
For the purposes of thls report It is best to record all these ortivities individuolly.
Rainbaws/Brownles- Girls 4-7 years, 7-10 years. For games, learnlng, craft and Social interactlon.
Bumblebees~ For parents and toddlers offerlng help, frlendship and support to young famllies, Work IS Boin8 on
In the back8round to reinstate thi5 after Covid and leaders are beins put in place.
Mothers Unlon- A 8roup of ladies that promotes and supports famlly Ilfe at home and abroad.
Badmlntan aub & Bowlln8 Club- Both are open to the whole community and for all ages.
Frfendshlp Gruup & Monthly Soup lunch- For the more senior mem.bers of the communlty.
Knlt and Natter- Craft group began to encourage and leam from each other In different crafts.
Pastoral Wislting Team- Assistin.8 the Bector In Pastoral Care of the housebound and eloerly.

M15slon Outreach at Home and Abroad - M.ullavilty is commltted to reachlng out to our local community with the
Good News of God's Love through our witness in Word and Action.. We contlnue to help in practlcal ways, as and
when possible, throu8h orsani53tions such as Food Oank.
Apple Plplsom Baby 84slrA- This was and still15 9 vltal Out￿ach. to the wider Communltyi providin8 a Moses
Basket or a Baby Bath filled with ewntlal stems for a new mum and her baby. It Is for those who have found
themselves In a difficult situation or who are goins throuBb tOil8h tlme5 due to the1055 of a job, human
trafficking, homelessness or sufferlng abuse.
Our Annual BBQ was tsken up with the Klng's Coronation Celebrations at the be8lnnlng of May, and thls was
open to all of the community to corne along and join in our special sepiice and lunch.
Now Church Organ Proiert- M?.nv events were held durin8 the year to help raise funds for a new church organ.
Th.e old organ has not been workjng slnce before the pandemic and the church aDd wider cornmunlty have got
together to raise funds and 5UPPOrt this effort In events such a5 8lg Breakfasts, Pra15e and Pudding evenSng,
Recto¢s Sit-out, Mullavilly Mementoes and Christmas Cards, Afternoon Teas, Qulz sheets, Guess the number of
sweets, Tractor plou8hin81 to name but a few.
The Church Nall is a vital asset to the Parish and wlder com.munity to enable outreach to take place.

As a Parish we adhere to the Church of Ireland Child Protection Policy- Safeguarding Trust, and all of our leaders
have been th.rou8h Access Nl checks and have attended the approprlate tralnln8.

The trustees have revlewed the budgets for the year ahead and are satlsfSed that there are adequate funds in
place to ensure that the Parlsh can continue its actlvities and the financial ststements for the year ended 31
December 2023 can be signed off as a going concern.
Structure, Governance and Management

Chapter111 of the Constltutlon of the Church of Ireland 8overns Parfshes and Parochial Orsanlsation. The Select
Vestry members are the Charity Trustees.
Recruitment and Appointment of Selert Vestry (TNstee5)
All members of the Church of Ireland who are over the age of 18 and are elther resident within the Parlsh or Ilve
elsewhere but have been accustomed member5 of the congregation for a least three months, may re8iSter as
members of the general vestry of the Parish, allowin8 them to attend and vote at meetinBS of the 8eneral vestry
nd to startd for @lection to the Select Vestry. Meetings of the general vestry are held at least once a year. The
Select Vestryls elected as part of this General Vestry m.eeting. The Select Vestry wlll hold their positions for a
period of one year. Select Vestry members may be re-elected annually and there is no limit on the number of
terms whSch m.ay be served,

Pay and remunoratlon
The Incumbent of the Parish is paid a stlpend, locomotory allowance and offlce expenses In accordance with
figures approved bythe General Synad of the Church of Ireland.
Qr£anlsation81 Structure
The Select Vestry Is respon51ble for the day-to-day management of the Parlsh. The Selert Vestry conslsts of the
member of the clergy serv5n8 in the Parish. the churchwardens, the glebe wardens and generally no more than
twelve other members of the general vestry are elected at the General Vestry.
The Select Vestry is chalred by the incvmbent or other member of the cler8y officlatln8 in the Parish, Sele
Vestry members are responslble for makin8 decisions on mattsrs of Beneral concern and Importance to the Parish
Includln8 decisions around h.ow Parish fun.d5 are to be a.pplied.
The Select Vestry mee15 at times fixed by the members or by the Di0￿$8n Synod. Special meetings may be
convened at any time by the chairperson or the churchwardens. In 2023 the Select Vestry met ei8ht time5 durlng
the year and the average attendance was 80..9%.

Th.e Parish has given careful consideratlon to the Charity Commisslon for Northem Ireland's 8uldance on publlc
benefit to ensure that the activities entered into durin8 th.e year have helped to achieve the Parish's objectlves
and actfvities, as well as provldin8 public benefit.

The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the Statement of Re￿Ipts and Payments and
Statement of A55ets and Llabillties In accofdance wlth applicable law and re8ulatlon3,
The law appllca.ble to ¢harltles In Northern Ireland wlth income of less than £250,IXKJ requlres the Trustees to
prepa.re a Statement of Receipts and Payments and a Statement of A55ets and Liabllities foT each financial year.
The Trustee$ are responsible for keeping accountin8 records that are sufficient to show and explain the Parlsh's
transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the assets and Iiab115tie5 of the Parish. They are
also responslble for safe8uardln8 the assets of the Parlsh and hence for tskin8 reasonable steps for the
prevention and detectlon of fraud and other Irregularltios,
