A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for public benefit and the main achievements in the year

11 members remained enrolled in January 2022 following a successful end to 2021. After a bring a friend night we had further recruitment and younger girls moving from the Rainbow company to commence the September 2022 term with 17 girls. Girls continued to work gaining skill builder badges, working on interest badges and completing Unit Meeting Activities throughout the year. They also benefited from outside activities coming to the hall such as Glitterbug facilitating a pamper night, an inflatables fun night, Fun with Drums and a cinema trip with another unit to Matilda the Musical which a badge was also given for attending. The girls also enjoyed a nature walk in our local woodland path to complete nature activities. We also were able to take a group of girls to the Brownies Centenary Camp at Lorne House in Holywood where they had 2 nights camping and the days filled with fun activities which were led by the Army. Places on a further camp in 2023 were also booked. There was no harm flowing from the Charities purposes and there was no private benefit.

A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance

All Trustees have regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement and Statutory guidance and are aware of this.

A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year

All funds were used to facilitate planned activities and purchase the required resources for skill builders and UMAs in addition to payment to outside facilitators. In 2021 we used existing resources where possible and dealt with petty cash as required until expenses were reimbursed to leaders in 2022 when bank account handover was finalised. We were successful in obtaining an Education Authority Grant of £800 following EA verification. The balance is in healthy state to support a strong programme in 2023 with the grant funding activities within the 2022 year and more planned for 2023 and future purchase of updated resources planned for early 2023.

Details of any funds held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit.

There was no deficit in the accounts for the year of 2021.
