The Group is managed by the Group Executive Committee,
the fferr￿ets of which are 'Chanty Tnjstees, of the Scnut
Group which is an educational chanty. As chanty trustees they
are responsible for campiying wrth legislation appluble to
chatitts. This includes the règistraiion. keeping proper
accounts and rrBking relums lo the Chanly ComMiss￿n as
appropriate.

Risk and Internal Control
The Group Exècutive Committee has Klenttfied the mapr rtsks
to which they believe the Group 6 exposed. these have been
revEwed and systems have been established 10 mitigate

Damage to the building, propèty and equipff*nt. The Group
would request the use of buikjings, propety and equipffent
from neighbouring organisalions su(*b as the church.

Injury to leaders, helpers, supporters and ryembets. The
Group through the caprtalion fees contributes to Ihe Scout

Assessmnls are undertaken before all activrti8S.
Reduced income knm fund raising. The Gffjup k8 primarily
reliant upon income from SubscnptK>ns and fundraising. The
group does hold a reserve to ensure the continuity of
aCtivit￿S should there be a TheJor ￿ductIon in incoff*. The
Committee could raise the value of Subsuipt￿nS to increase
the Inco￿ to the group on an ongoing basis, erther
teryordrity or permanenlty.
Reduction or loss of leaders. The group is totally relianl upon
volunteers to run and adrrwnister the activities of the group. If
there was a red￿Cl￿)n in the number of leaders lo an
unacceptable level in a particular Se￿lOn or the group as a
whole then there V￿￿uld have to be a conlrdction.

Achlevements and performance
Summary of the achEven￿ntS of
the charity during the year
The Group Suffered a senous loss of adult leaders since
2020. This was tr*inly due to the effect of the Covid-19
pandenNc which meant the Group was Unab￿ to ff*et for
sorrE time. Vthen ff*etings Estarted only the okler age group
( ExplO￿r Unit) had Suff￿lent adu￿ leaders. Beavers, Cubs
and Scouts dKI not ￿sume at aw and Explorer Scouts also ran
inlo d￿t￿lty as they found they dKI not have enough adu
leaders io ￿ntinue safely. At present Scout HQ in
conjunction wth the County CoMmiss￿ner. who is also the
Omagh Explorer Scout lÈader-in<harge. are trying to idenlrfy
and recruil enough leaders in the area to enable the Group to
resume it's adivil*s. Fortunatety the Omagh Guide Unrts, who
use the samè prenyses, continue to run so the Scoul & Guide
hall ￿￿OinS maintained and available.
