Objectives and A¢ii¥ib
The dirert benefit which flows from our purpose is that wung p￿r￿e are empowered to make a rA)sitive contribution to socièty
through being enga8ed and supwrted in the5r personal ￿?￿p￿e￿l including physically, in1dl￿tua￿￿, scKially and spiritually. This
benefit is demonstrated through Scouting making a wisitNe impaLt in our cornrnunities: preparing young p￿pIet0 be attive cit12ens:
embracing and cOntrib￿ing to soc¢al change- being as diverse as the communities in wh￿h we operate. These are evidenced by
feedback from our beneficiarie5 and the wider communtty. In è(klition beneffts are demonstrated by gerting feedback from young
people and parents, using the Plan, l)0, Revie4V Model for assessing programmes and Evellts and from time to time tndependent
evaluation5 of our activities. There is no hami arisin%from our pUry￿Se5 as sco￿1ThgoperateS within a frdmework of safety to enable
young peopleto take part in a(fventurou5 Klivtties safe￿. Sco¥Jtin<s beneficiaries arechildren and young people andthe only private
benefit from this pvrpose is that Adult Volunteers are trained to deEiwthe pr<warnme. but this is incidental and necessary because
it is needed to operate todaws society working wtth YOU￿ people.
