The Trustees have studied the N.I. Charity Commission’s statutory guidance on the Public benefit requirement and consider that they have complied with it in full. 

## **Structure and Management** 

1[st] Lurgan Scout Group is a standalone organisation which is affiliated to the Northern Ireland Scout Association. Its membership is limited to young people aged 6 to 25 living in the wider Lurgan area. 

1[st] Lurgan Scout Group met 30 times during the year. 

The leaders during the year were:

## **Purposes** 

The Scout Group is established to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

## **Public Benefit** 

During the year the members of the Scout Group took part in a full and balanced programme of active games, craft, stories, visits, camps and talks in order to educate and develop them physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.  Parents reported that their children looked forward to meetings and membership was full throughout the year.

**Financial Review** 

## **Beavers:** 

Income for the year totalled £700.68. After expenses of £1,065.82 there was a deficit for the year of £365.14. Cash at the bank and in hand totalled £693.93. 

## **Cubs:** 

Income for the year totalled £6,355.18. After expenses of £4,890.84 there was a surplus of £1,464.34.  Cash at the bank and in hand totalled £3,204.18. 

## **Scouts:** 

No 1 Account (World Vision Account): 

Income for the year totalled £303.17. After expenses of £377.28 there was a deficit for the year of £74.11.  Cash at the bank and in hand totalled £158.02. 

No.2 Account (Main Account): 

Income for the year totalled £3,149. After expenses of £4,628.51 there was a deficit for the year of £1,479.51.  Cash at the bank and in hand totalled £1,257.69.
