Purposes of our charlty: Promoting the development of young people in achieving their full physical, Intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. Publlc and Prlvate Beneflt of our charlty: THE TRUSTEE5 HAVE HAD REGARD TO THE CHARITY COMMISSION'S PUBLIC BENEFIT REQUIREMENT STATUTORY GUIDANCE l. The benefit which flows from our purpose is that young people are empowered to make a positive contribution to society through being engaged and supported in their personal development, including physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually. 2. This benefit is demonstrated through Scouting making a positive impact in our communities; preparing young people to be active citizens; embracing and contributing to social change; being as diverse as the communities in which we operate. These are evidenced by feedback from our beneficiaries and the wider community. 3. There is no harm arising from our purposes. Scouting operates within a framework of safety to enable young people to take part in adventurous activities safely. 4. Scouting's beneficiaries are children and young people. 5. The only private benefit from this purpose is that Adult Volunteers are trained to deliver the programme, but this is incidental and necessary because it is needed to operate in today's society working with young people

Revlew of the year: Section Squirrels Beavers Cubs Scouts Young Leaders Leaders 2022-2023 Grou activities: End of year trip to "Bettvs Ice Cream" on Monday 9th May 2022. Attended Remembrance Day service in Altedesert Parish Church on Sunday 13th November 2022 including wreath laying at Pomeroy Presbyterian Remembrance evening service. Carol singing at Corkhill PNH in December 2022. All sections attended "Enpanto" Coalisland craic theatre in January 2023. Attended Founderfs day service in Pomeroy Presbyterian Church on Sunday 19th February 2023. Planting of Coronation seed bombs packets March 2022. uirrels: Leaders: Carol McElmurry & Jennifer Invin Varied programme including activities which as games, stories. colourlng, card making and pancake making. Coronation poster, which are being sent to Buckingharn Palace for HM King Charles111 coronation. Beavers: Leaders: Noelle Moore & Keith Moore Young Leader: Jodie Moore Programme of badge work including recycling, creativity, and faith, reading, and cooking. Programme of activities including arts & crafts, colouring and games. Cubs Scouts: Leaders: Peter Gilkinson, Philip Irwin & Heather Roulston Varied programme including badge work including Arts&craft, DIY, naturalist badge, tent building, wreath making and cooking. A scarecrow built & displayed in Pomeroy village as part of community wide scarecrow trail. Community litter pick through village and forest. Revlew of our charlws financial position as at 31rt March 2023 Our funds are in a healthy state and we do not have any debt5 or funds in material deficit. We do not currently have a resenies policy but collect subscriptions and fees on a regular basis in order to satisfy contingencies and anticipated expenses.
