## **– Trustee Report 2023 2024**

The 2023 year finished with a camp at Newcastle which went well canoeing with the Armagh group and camping close to the river for the weekend 5 – 7 May 2023. Nine members in total attended from 1[st] Keady with Scouts and Explorer Scouts taking part. Meetings continued on Wednesday evenings in the new scout year commencing with a trip to a goat farm in October for Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs as well as any parents who wished to attend. Scouts and Explorer Scouts visited the farm later in November 2023. At another scout meeting, these older groups learned first aid skills during a visit from St John’s Ambulance. The Alan Stevenson Challenge in Gosford Forest Park was successful for 1[st] Keady and District Scouts when we gained second place. Cubs and Scouts joined the Remembrance parade and service and laid a wreath at the cenotaph in Armagh.

The new year commenced with a visit to the pantomime, Cinderella, in Portadown Town Hall on 13 January 2024 which was enjoyed by all. Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts learned some car mechanical skills at a local garage. Following a night of games in April, there was a presentation of badges with parents in attendance. The year was rounded off with a bus trip to Airtastic on 26 April with trampolines, bowling and food. Everyone enjoyed this outing and agreed that it was a great experience.
