## **1[st] KEADY AND DISTRICT SCOUTS** 

## **104102** 

The groups met on Wednesdays throughout the year and commenced with the younger members attending a crafts evening in the library where they learned how to make pictures using stones. 

The whole scout troop attended the remembrance parade in Armagh and laid a wreath at the cenotaph.  Each group then made wooden decorations for a Christmas tree from 1[st] Keady & District Scouts to be displayed at the Christmas Tree festival at St Matthews, Keady held on 9 – 11 December 2022 and contributed to the fundraising effort by the church. 

Cubs, Beavers and Squirrels enjoyed a presentation by a Jet2 pilot where they learned about flying and the role of a pilot followed by making polystyrene aeroplanes of their own.  The whole scout troop visited the panto in Portadown to see one of the young leaders star as the handmaid So-Shy in a performance of Aladdin.  The Chinese New Year was celebrated in the scoot hall with various food sampling for the younger groups.  Throughout the year, Cubs achieved a range of badges including Personal Safety, Chef, Physical Recreation, Athletics, Air Activities and Emergency Aid. 

The year concluded with a sports evening with the presentation of awards and badges and finally a  trip to Clip n Climb at High Rise in Lisburn which was enjoyed by all members.
