2023 TRUSTEE’S ANNUAL REPORT

1[st] January 2023- 31[st] December 2023

the combined grouping of Acton, Drumbanagher and Loughgilly in the Diocese of Armagh. During the period under review there were two Holy Baptisms and one Christian Burial.

Divine worship was also enriched by the organists Mrs. Elizabeth Freeburn, Mrs. Margaret Henry and Mrs. Heather Sandford and the church choir consisting of Mrs. Betty Gibson, Mrs Marilyn Sweeney, Mrs Clare Morton, Mrs Heather Morton and Mrs Cara Reid along with the accompanying children and grandchildren respectively.

Our Sunday School is a vital part of the fabric of our parish, and we are blessed with those parishioners who lead the Sunday School, Mrs Clare Morton, Mrs. Heather Morton and Mrs Karen Morton.

Charity

Donations in 2023 amounted to £2,218.10 which were donated to the following Charities.

Fund Raising

Fund Raising Activities for the Building & Repair Fund raised £2,378.89 from the following events.

Building & Repair Works

There were no major items of work undertaken during the year as the Church underwent a major restoration project during 2020- 2022 at a cost of £211k. The Select Vestry wish to place on record their thanks for all parishioners and non- parishioners who made voluntary donations to the project and those organisations who provided grants.

In carrying out the annual programme of divine worship services and related activities throughout the year the Trustees have regard to the public benefit by ensuring that the pastoral, social and ecumenical work of the Church enhances the lives not only of church members and their families, but also the wider community and particularly several charities who support less fortunate than us.

The Church is governed by the Constitution of the Church of Ireland.

December The Church is in sound financial standing at the close of the financial year ending 31[st] 2023. The Trustees wish to express their appreciation to the parishioners for their continued support through regular giving.
