Down, 8T35 6FT Nl Charity Registration No. 104088 2018 TRUSfEES' ANNUAL REPORT l January 2018- 31° December 2018 Once again it was another busy and fulfilling year forthe parish of Drumbanagherthat is part of the combined Acton, Drumbanagher and Loughgilly Grouping. During the period under review there was three baptisms and six Christian burials. Divine worship was also enriched by the Hon. Organist, Mrs Lorna Finch and the choir consisting of Mrs Agnes Agnew, Mrs Audrey Sterritt, Mrs Betty Gibson, Mrs. Marilyn Sweeney and Mrs Eileen Wright. Our Sunday School is a vital part of the fabric of our parish and we are blessed with tho parishioners who lead the Sunday School; Mrs Andrea Corry, Mrs Heather Morton and Mrs Stephanie Waddell. Charlty Donations to charity in 2018 amounted to £1.921.01 which were donated to the following charities; Cancer Research Crosslinks Bishop's Appeal LEMOF Royal British Legion Habitat for Humanity Daisy Lodge (Children's Cancer Fund) Fund Raisin8 Fund raising activities in 2018 for the Building & Repair Fund raised £4,645.36 from events such as; Football Tournament Tractor Road Run Big Breakfast Car Wash Treasure Hunt Sale of Church Models Tractor Road Run DVD Clothes recycling
WWI Night Building & Repair Works The major items of work undertaken during the year were as follows: installation of additional extemal lighting and gating at the rectory completion of new car parking at the church The parish would like to acknowledge the voluntsry time given by those involved in these works, in addition to the contractors who were commercially engaged to undertake works. Church Hall The parish made the payment of £15,000 against parishioner interest free loans that were so generously provided to assist with the renovation of the Church Hall. The Trustees of the parish would like to place on record our thanks and appreciation to all those parishioners who voluntarily assist with the cleaning of the church and parish hall, cutting of grass and hedges, decorating the church for special services such as Christmas, Easter and Harvest and those maintenance jobs that are required from time to time. In carrying out the annual programme of divine worship services and related activities throughout the year the Trustees have had regard to the public benefit by ensuring that the pastoral, social and ecumenical work of the Church enhances the lives not only of church members and their families, but also the wider community and particularly several charities which support those less fortunate than ourselves. The Church is governed by the Constitution of the Church of Ireland. st The Church is in sound financial standing at the close of the financial year ending 31 December 2018.
