Achievements & Performance
Scouts exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. As Scouts, we are guided by our values:

Financial Review
The overall funds increased from £122k to £333k, mainly as a result of assets transferred from South Belfast District Scout Council as part of the merger with South East Belfast District Scout Council to form Lagan District Scouts. The main sources of income are subs paid from Scout Groups and rental income for use of Ardnavally Scout Centre. The subs income is paid onwards to Northern Ireland Scout Council with a small surplus retained. Ardnavally covers its ongoing running costs plus some maintenance and upgrading projects. Lagan District also runs a number of other activities for Scout Groups which contribute a small surplus to the overall funds.
