Churth. pastoral. *Angelistic. social and ecumenical. Being open to and en8a8ing with society as
whole and offering support f¢x those needin8 help are fundamental to the practical delivery of the
benefits of Christianty-
As a result of artNty in the wrsuit of the a¢*ar*¢ement of Christian religion, the De￿(KIle
Parish Church has custoty of property and of records, materials ènd artefacts of significance to the
cukurdl and religious heritage and maintenance of whith is undertaken by the select vestry of the
Derryn￿xe Parish Churth.
Stsnday W(xsMp: A service is held each Sunday and at 12.C(Iwn Morniw Prapr 1$¢ 3rd & 5th
Sundays of the month. Pk)ly Comrnunion Services are usually 2nd and 4th Sun&ys in the month.
There are Lssually special ser4ices during the ￿ar for Harvest Thanks8r¥in8 Service, Christmas Carol
Service and other services are held during Holy Week and Easter. Al of these services are open to
the wh)le community and everyone is welcome. Due to Covid 19 all restrirtions and iuidance have
been followed thr0￿hoLrt. Pastoral Care is provided by the Re4 Lknvid Moses Jnd the Rural Dean.
The Parlsh has gr¥en eareful consideration to the Charity Commissron for Northern Irelands
gLtidance on public benefit to ensure that the actwes entered into during the year have helped to
achie￿ the Parish's obiertives and artNities. as well as providiry wblic benefiL

The trustees have reviewed the bu(*ets for the year ahead and are satisfied that there are adequate

the year ended 2021 be signed off as a goirq concern.

The se￿ Vestry members are the U￿rity Trnstees
All members of the Church of Ireland who are over the age of 18 and are either resident within the
parish or INe elsewhere but have been xcustorned members of the congregatK)n for at least three
months. may register as rrnmbers of the 8eneral vestry of the parish. allowin8 them to attend and
vote at meetings of ttre general vestry and to stand for electh)n to the select vestry. Meetings of the
general vestry are held at least once a year. The Select Vestry is elected as part of this General Vestry
meeting. The Select Vestry will hold their positions for a period of one year. Select Vestry memters
may be re*lerted annual￿ and there is no lirnit on the number of temis which rnay be served.

The inujmbent receives a stipend in accordar*ce with fi8ures a￿rtr1ed ￿ the General Synod of the
Church of Ireland.
Organlsadonal StnKture
The select vestry is reSp￿Ible for day to d•y management of the parish. The selert vestry
consists of the member of the clergy serying in the parish, any curate assistant I'the curate"), the
churthwardens, the glebe Warde￿ and generally rK>t more than twelve other members of the
general vestry elected at the General Vestry.
The select vestry is chaired by the intsjmbent or other member of the clergy offKiatiw in the parish.
Select vestry members are responsible for makin8 decisions on matters of general concern and
importsnce to the parish induding decidin8 how parth funds are to be applied.
The select vestry meets at times fixed by the members or by the &iocesan syrth. Speclal meetings
may be convened at any tirne by the chairperson or the ¢hurchwardens. In 2021 the Select Vestry
met I time during the year and the average attendance was 8.
The Parish has gr¥en careful consideration to the Charity commiss￿ft for Northem Ireland's
guidance on public benefit to ensure that the actives entered into during the year have helped to
achieve the Parish's obFrtNes and artrrfities, as well as providing publK benefrt.

The trustees are res￿nSi￿￿e for preparing the Trusteeg Report and the $tste￿ent of receipts and
payments and statement of assets and liabil1t￿$ In accordance with applicable law and re8ulations.
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland wth Income of less than £2SO,CL#) requires the
trustees to prepare a statement of receipts and pa￿￿nts and a staternent of assets and liabilities
for each financial year.
The trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain
the Parish's transartions and disclose with reasonable a¢¢uracy at any time the assets and liabilities
of the Parish. They are also responsible for safeguarthrvd the assets of the Parish and hence for takir
reasonab￿ steps forthe prevention and detertion of fraud and other irregularities.
