Independent examiner's report to the charity trustees of 4th Portadown (St Mark's) Scout Group I report on the accounts of the Tru5tee5 of 4th Portadown (St Mark's) Scout Group for the year st ended 31 March 2023 Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner As the charivs trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2￿8. It is my responslblllty to: • examlne the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act follow the procedures laid down in the general Dlrectlons glven by the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland under section 65{9}Ibl of the Charities Act state whether particula r matters have come to my attention. Basis of examinerfs statement I have examined your charity accounts as required under sectlon 65 of the Charltles Act and my examlnatlon was carrled out in accordance with the 8eneral Olrectlons given by the Charity Commisslon for Northern Ireland under sectlon 65{9)(b) of the Charitles Act. The examination included a review of the accountlng records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included conslderation of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters. My role is to state whether any materlal matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe: l. That accountln8 records were not kept as required by sectlon 63 of the Charltles Act 2. That the accounts do not accord wlth those accounting records 3. That the account5 do not comply wlth the accounting requirements of the Charities Act 4. That there is further information needed for a proper understandlng of the accounts to be reached.
