The Trustees present their i-epoi't with Ilie financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2022. The

The cliai'ity raises and receives ￿ndS fi-om a vai'iety of sources iiicluding L'eaehing out foi oiie-off gifts, specific
project-fuiiding appeals and general public doi)ations. Diii'ing the year lo 31 Decembei. 2022, the chai'ity received

Review of activities
Youth & Schools Outreach Department (YSO)
Followiiig a wondei'ful surge in deinand for the services pi'ovided by LMJ'S Youtl) & Schools Outreach Deparln)ent
following the pandeinic, the leain was sli-ei)gthened by the addition of a third full time worker. This developmeiit canie at
an ideal tinie, pi'ior to the beginning of the 2022123 academic year, enabling all the teain membei's to woi'k logeilier to
create new progranumes, edit existing content, and replace olderllesser used niaterial.
With the vast majority of scliools and chui'ches rettirning lo pre-paiidemic operating Iiorins, the team were involved in a
lol less online teaching sessions, biit this drop was more than made up foi. by the retui'n of regular ii)-pei'son RE classes,
SU group sessions and youth group events.
Notably, the internec still provided a wonderful vehicle for Il)e SHINE init12tive, a collaboi'ative effort involving sevei-al
mission ageiicies. The Bible leaching videos pi'oduced wei'e iised by 432 schools aiid churches iii the UK aiid Jrelai)d'
many chui-ches and organisations ii) ovei'seas locations, includiiig Australia, New Z¢alaiid, Canada, Finland and South
Africa; and is available to stream globally via the majoi. US Christian streaniing website, Right Now Media.
We also welconied our fii-st evel- student placement froin Belfast Bible College, with hopes of niaking this an
opportui)ity within tl)e Yoiitl) & Schools Departnient oil a i'egular basis.
Bible Teaeliing Ministry (BTM)
Following niuch discussion and planning, and a significant investinent in a new CRM systein, LMI'S Bible Teaching
Miiiistry was able lo start offei-ing students around the world the opportunity lo iinderlake their studies via einail. This
exciting developinent meant that anyone, anywliere will) inlei'nel access could avail theniselves of our eoiu'ses, iiicluding
Christians in nations where they face hostility, opposition aiid persecution.
In addition, oiii Dynamics of Discipleship, Bible teaching i'esource continued to spi'ead across the world aiid requests for
new language ti'aIislatioiis continued to con)e iii. The Inatei'ial was used iii several locations where Ihei'e was previously
no LMI involvet)ieiil, incliidiiig Togo, Benin aiid Bui'kino Faso, aiid we also printed the resource in the UL'du language
for the fit-st tinie, bringing the total numbei. of li'anslalions availabl¢ to niiie.

Overseas Miiiistry Pi'ogi'amme

A variety of overseas ministry projects, stretching aci'oss sevei'al nations aiid continents, also tool( place througlioul the
year. The type of support needed vai'led widely fron) location to location, but oiir woi'k included humanitai'ian relief
efforts in Iiidia, South Asia, the Middle East, and Ukraine (the latter to aid refugees of tlie wai. in Ukraine). sponsorsliip
for Bible teaching seillinars and yoiith events in Africa. a suinmer can)p for children in Hungary; and Bible litei'acy
classes for adults in Soutl) Sudan.
We also appointed a neiv coordinator, who is an experienced cross-cultural iiiissionary and Bible teacher, to oversee this
aspect of the ininislry.
Mission Awareness Pl'ogi'amme
A return to normality in churches meant Iliat we wei'e able to visit maiiy more congregations, in-person tl)aii had been the
case for sevei'al yeai's. LMI staff niembers were involved iii Mission Awareness Pi-ogramme meetings in a l'ange of
loeations, and involving a iT)ix of deiioininations, encouraging and challenging those they mel lo gel involved in global
tnission.
Regrellably, despite our hope of bringing ali LMI Cooi'dinalor oi. ii)inistry parliier to the UK lo undei'take a series of
meeliiigs, this didn't iiiatei'ialise, iii parl due lo prevailing Covid-19 measui'es relating to Ii'avel.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial positlon

Reserves Policy and Going ConcerIi
The Tiuslees al'e pleased to report Ilial at the end of tlie finai)cial yeai., the charity had net working capital i'eserves of
£309,754 of ivhich £305,681 was held as cash in bank accoiiiils (2021.. £305,681 and £296,232 respectively). This is
adequate to covei. all ki)own Icvels of expenditui'e foi. the next thi'ee moi)Ihs.Furihei'nioi'e, iii a woi'st case eveiit resulting
in a cessation of donatioiis i'eceived, the Trustees consider that this level of liquid i'eseives would enable the conliiiuatioii
