## Activities

**Purposes:** The charity’s objects (‘Objects’) are specifically restricted to the promotion of the following purposes for the benefit of the public:  4.1	To advance, promote, manage, co-ordinate, and develop canoeing and paddlesport in all its forms and in doing so to act as the national governing body for canoeing in Northern Ireland;  4.2	To advance community development in Northern Ireland by way of engaging members of local communities throughout Northern Ireland of all ages and abilities with canoeing, paddlesports  and related activities;  4.3	To advance any other exclusively charitable purposes as the directors may from time to time decide in accordance with the law of charity in Northern Ireland.  Nothing in the articles authorises an application of the property of the charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and/or section 2 of the Charities Act 2011 and or section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
