Independent Examiner appointed - Jon Houston, Banbridge. 1st Banbridge Scout Group is an organisation for youth in the Banbridge Distrith currently consisting of Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, Helpers and Adult Leaders. Cub Scouts meet on Monday. the Squirrels and Beavers on Wednesday and Scouts on Thursdays with all Sections active from September each year to May / June the following year. Three Squirrels gained the Chief Acorn Badge, highest achievement within Squitrels. During the year we made bird feeders, dinosaurs, bridges from lego and built dens.The Chinese New Year was celebrated, we learned about St Patrick and had our annual Easter Egg hunt. Putting up a tent and having smores finished off the year. We said goodbye to those moving up to Beavers and welcomed some new Squirrels. Autumn and Christmas crafts were made and packing a rucksac was fun. Everyone enjoyed Movie night especially the snacks.

BEAVER COLONY Leaders Yvonne Patterson Jacqueline Dale Janice Mccafferty Ll BENEFIT Beavers participated in a range of activites resulting in Space,Experiment, Faith and Creative badges being awarded.The Colony decorated floral pots, arranged flowers and made cards for Mother, s Day. Everyone enjoyed learning about St.Patrick and making Easter crafts, some with moveable parts. A Find and identify the animal hunt and visiting Church kept the Beavers busy. Some themes later included Code of Conduct, Autumn, hibernation, Remembrane£ Day, Christmas crafts and making sleighs. Finally the Beavers joined the Squirrels for a Movie and snacks night, a great fun night for everyone. CUB SCOUTS 'chard Dean Kelly Frizell Amy McLarnon PUBLIC BENEFIT The year started with the usual Badge work and then included a litter pick, a celebration of the Olympic Games and later Burns Night with sorne "new" Highland games. origami was enjoyed by all for Mother's Day. Cubs then camped in the Church Hall after working on their camping skills - erecting tents,making up packing lists, menus and then trangia cooking etc. With older Cubs moving on and younger ones coming up from Beavers a major change was made in our average age. The new Cubs were involved in activities to help them become introduced into the Pack with everyone enjoying the usual Christmas fun and activities. SCOUT Leade David Neill Paul Connolly PUBLIC BENEFIT After a period of inactivity the Scout year welcomed six enthusiastic youngsters and started with our traditional Map & Compass skills and the "favourite" Knots training. Fitness featured throughout the year in our variety of activities whether indoor or outdoor, including hikes, obstacle courses, and team games - laying the groundwork for a thriving Scout Troop. Our low numbers each week sometimes made programme planning a little difficult for the Scouts and Leaders alike but has been a testament to the resilience and dedication of everyone involved.
