The Trustees have studied the N.1. Charity Commission's statutory guidance on the Public benefit
requirement and consider that they have complied with it in full.
STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT
1st Armagh & Explorer Scout Unit are part of Northern Ireland Scout Council (NISC} our home
county is Armagh and we are part of the UK Scout Association incorporated by Royal Charter in
1912.
Our memberships includes young people aged . Cub Scouts 8 - IOYI, Scouts IOY.- 14t/È and Explorer
Scouts 14- 18. Our Cub Scouts meet on Monday evenings and our Scouts and Explorer Scouts
meet on Thursday evenings between September and July.

l Armagh & Explorer Scouts is managed in accordance with its constitution by members of its
management committee. The management committee met 3 times during the year.

PURPOSES
We are the UK'S biggest mixed youth organization. We change lives by offering our young people fun
and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so
that we make a positive impact in our communities.
Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual
potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and
international communities

PUBLIC BENEFIT
During the year all Scout sections took part in a full and balanced programme of active games, craft,
camping, indoor wall climbing, canoeing, cooking, learning about other faiths, Other countries, visits
and talks in order to educate and develop them physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and
spiritually. Scouts and cubs attended a weekend camp and also a week long camp at Tipperary wood
and took part in varied outdoor activities including hiking, archery, climbing, BB shooting campfire
and canoeing.
Feedback from parents and guardians indicate that their young people looked forward to Scout

meetings, Camps and away days. l Armagh Scouts are part of our local community and also
ambassadors for Northern Ireland when we attend International Camps and indeed host Scouts from
other Countries.
