## **Treasurers report** 

Financial statement is attached for 1[st] April 2022 – 31[st] March 2023. 

Opening Balance of £6024.06 

Income including registration, grands and camp fees of £10,158.63 

Expenditure in year of £9.656.15 giving us a closing balance of £6525.54 Of this, £850 is restricted to scout section. 

All payments are up to date including a £714.09 repayment to EA for grant funding not used. 

Most parents are now paying via Online Scout Manager. 

Overview of expenses and income discussed and agreed. 

Discussion on should we charge for Scarves as price has increased 20%. 

Community Centre rental, to be paid up to end of June. New Bank account needed. Suggested Natwest Charity Account, Russell to investigate further. 

OSM package is upgraded for next year to include finance package for section expenses, this will make annual accounts and gift aid easier to process. 

New EA grant. New Treasurer to be appointment and  apply for next year grant. 

New Treasurer to explore Gift Aid options for parents. 

Overall the accounts are in a healthily position, there are a number of grants including gift aid that the group could make use off and apply for when a the new treasurer is appointed.
