ST. PATRICK'S CHORAL SOCIETY ANNUAL CHARITY REPORT 01.09.23------31.08.24 This year we ran a short youth workshop in singing and dance during the Easter school holiday. This was popular and we may make it an annual event. The society took part in 3 community concert in Down Cathedral, which was arranged to benef it those affected by recent f looding in the town. We held the summer scheme for youth members, during two weeks in August. On the final evening, the enthusiastic young cast performed Sister Act (Junior) for their family and friends. The young people developed their skills in drama and music. Rehearsals continued for All Shook Up, which was performed in The Great Hall Downshire over four nights in October2023. It was good to see many of the youth return to take part in the company show. We made plans to produce two shows during the financial year 01.09.24- 31.08.25. Once again we will involve youth and adult members. Fund raising continued with a quiz and Christmas "Bake Off" The society hopes to continue with these events in the future, working with youth and adult members. Unfortunately our chair person resigned from the committee in early 2024, for personal reasons. The vice chair and secretary filled the vacancy until a new chair was elected at the AGM.
