The principal source of income Is by way of grant fundiTrJ from the Departmeni of Education whlch
accounts for 95% of School income under the common funding formula, Addltlonal Income is

Total Income for the year was £7,351,002 (2023.. £6.736.876). Income from donatlons amounled lo
£158.527 (2023: £317,019) and Income from charltable actlvltles amounted to £7.192,475 (2023.,
£6,419,857).
Total expendlture for tho year whlch all related to expendlture on charllable activities amounted to
£7,205,476 (2023.. £6,750,915). Expendilure predomlnantly consisted of slaff cost8, rent, raies,
Insurance, Ilghl and heat, cleanlng, repairs and maintenance costs.
Thls resulted In net Income for the yew of £145.526 (2023.. nel expenditure of £14.039). Nei assets at
31 March 2024 were £487,182 (2023.. £341.656} of which unreslricled general funds were in surplu6
by £218,392 (2023: surplus of £101,578), unrestrlcted designated fund8 were £Nil (2023., £Nil) and
re3trtclad funds vmre £268,790 (2023.. £240,078).
At 31 March 2024, free reserves 8r8 in surplus by £174,187 (2023: in Jurplu3 by £23,166).

The School uses varlous Ilnanclal Instruments Including cash and varlous items such as Irade debtors

and In Ihe current economlc cllmate this Is Ilkely to contlnue. Accordingly, the school has contlnued
wlth the £1,000.000 fundralslng campaign lo assist with the Iransformational change to thè sport
facllllles on the slngle slle g)Ing forward. These works now comprlse the provlslon of a hockey pltch.

whose registered office Is silualed in Northern Ireland. The Company was incorporaled on 18th
December 2014 and is reco￿lsed as a ¢h&ity by The Charily Commission for Northem I￿land
(charlty reference number NIC 103870).
The charitable company's objects and pmrs are establSshed under its Articles of Assoclatlon and it Is
governed under Its Articles of Association.
Coleraine Grammar School, 8 Voluntary Grafflmar School, was established to provide hith quality
educatlon for boys and girls. The Board of GOVer￿rS have ultimalè responsibillty for ils gov8mance.

The Members are the Governors of the School. Where any person Is app¢inled as a Governor of Ihe
School they automalically become a Mèmber. Where any person ceases to be a Govemor of the
School they automatlcally cease to be a Member.

School arKI any Govefnors who may be ¢0 opted urtder Article 122 of the 1989 Order and where

Where there are 27 voting members ol the Board of Governors of the School. then of those members:

Governors;
3. subject to Article 13(3A) of the 1986 Order, a maximum of 3 shall be ¢le¢led by parents of
puplls allending tho School from amongst paren18 of such puplls as Parent Governors;

The Principal, Teachlng Governors and Parent Governors elected by the teachSng staff and parents

Secrelary {If any) must call a meetlng of the Board of Governors If r8quesied io do so by the President
Chawman. Questions arising al a meetlng shall be declde<l by a majorily of vol8s. In tho case of an
8quallty of votes. the person who is chairing the meeting shall have a second or castlng vote. No
dec18ion can be made by a meetlng of the Governors unless a quorum is present at Ihe lime the
decislon Is purported to be made. 'Present' Sncludes being present by sultable eleclronlc means
agreed by the Govemors in whlch a partlclpant or partlclpants may communlcate wlth all Ihe other

A resolutlon In wrltlng or In electronlc form agreed by a slmple malorlty of all the Governors entitled lo
recelve nollce of a Board of Governors meetlng or of a Commlttee and to vole upon ihe resolution
shall be as valid and effectual as if It had been passed at a meeting of the Governors or (as the case
may b8) a Commlttee duly convened and held provided that:
