Distrirt Events:
We held our annual St Georges Day parade at Hillhall, our first since covid which was well
attended & during the service a new scout flag was dedicated by our Chaplin and will now
form part of future parades.
We have had numerous district events throughout the year for each of the sections which
will be detailed in my ADC reports to follow. This would be a good time to thank all my ADCs,
without them the various district events would not have happened.
Our district woodlands are used continually by each section & also for district ev.ent

this asset can only help with scouting in the district and the wider Lisburn Community and at
some stage also scouting outside our district.
It is intended to hold a full district event for all sections in the near future including a district
overnight camp for scouts & exploiers
Lisburn District was represented at the Queens lying in state & we were also represented at
the Kings Coronation, well done to all those that took part.
Lisburn was represented at the recent World Jamboree which unfortunately made the news
headlines for the wrong reasons, l am not sure if they were just as poor as portrayed but
hopefully we will be given more detailed information about the jamboree by our own
representatives at some stage soon.
Mandatory Tralnlng:
Our noncompliance level for mandatory Safeguarding & Safety is contlnually monltored an
in some periods of the year has reached unsatisfactory levels which is being addressed by
our County Commissioner, GSLS, Janet & myself.
I received our latest district figures from headquarters yesterday and presently we have
approximately 35 leaders who need to update their 1st Response or Safety or Safeguarding
which is a good improvement, I would ask all leaders to please check on compass thelr own
details.
We have to date held 4No 1st response courses with another being held on Saturday 23,
September here in Harmony Hill, I think we have approx. 8 spaces left, if you wish to avail of
a place please email Janet or myself.
