The Group has had a busy year. Squirrels , started with 8, 4 morejoined so 12 in totsl. The Squirrels took part in the foLlowing Group activities.. we Looked at the tOPlCs of Autumn, Bird Watch. Chinese New Year. We had a joint Halloween party WFth Beavers and a joint Christmas at Gilford Communty Centre. We made pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, did Valentine, Mothers Day and St Patricks crafts and rainbow activity. Had a joint Coronalion paty too and a joint lime at Gosford Forest Park. Squirrels earned Get Creatsve, Lets Celebrate, Brilliant Builder, Exciting Expersment activity badges, All received Remembering the Queen and later Kings Coronation badges. 7 Chief Scouts Acorn Awards were awarded. Karen and Gillian both completed and received their Woodbadge Certificate. Beavers, started with 10, 2 joined so totsl 12. The Beavers completed Cy¢lisl Activity badge which included a visit of a Portadown Cyding Club member and the childrens learning how to check their bikes and ride them safely. Community Impact Activity Badge - they collected and donated Pjslfoo￿drInk to local chanty J29 to help local families struggling over Christmas period. Gardener Activity Badgeth planted Sunflowers and discussed how they grow Cook Activity Badge- kilchen safety and making pizzaslsmores. Other activities- attended Remembrance parade and servi￿, we had a PJ Paty, Halloween Party Christmas paty at Gilford Community Centre. Made pancakes and had Coronation paty. We finished the year with fun evening at Gosford Forest Park. AIL also received Kings Coronation uniform badge5. Cubs. total 12. 7 Boys, 5 girLs. Paper plate dragons near St Georges Day. Also had a talk on the Poppy, Chnstmas event wilh Scouts at Gilford Community Centre was Nerf War games and Pizza supper. We covere different topics on Nature, had a Founders day Talk and a Pack forum. Also covered Patron Saints and flags. emblems and Earth day themed evening. We had a King Chades Coronation party. We covered Navigater 1 & 2 over a few weeks, did a Communty Litter Pick and had speaal visiros Wee Bugs and Beasties which the Cubs and leaders all enjoyed. er

Scouts We are planning a summer weekend camp in August. Badges.. Challenge badges- Some eamed Skills, Teamwork. Personal & Adventure Athvity badges- All gained Home Help and Navigater 2, 4 Naturalist, 2 Artist 3 Chief Scouts Silver Awards lo date, summer camp may add to this number. I received Ks'ngs Coronation unifom badges Scouts. 9, 7 male and 2 Female. Outirig5 '. Hike Cycle on Towpath Christmas event at Gilford Communty Centr& Nerf Wars Games and pizza supper Forthcoming.. Summer weekend camp in August at Castlewellan The Scouts had a year of varied activities including a treasure hunt around the village, a few weeks on knots and lashings which was followed up with pioneering projects using the knots, a few weeks on Chef Badge, they took on a project of planning and making a meal on a budget, backwoods cooking, map ading, various team building games, obstaclè games and sports to cover athletics badge, pancake making on Shrove Tuesday and ￿lebrated Ihe Kings Coronats'on wtth a paty.
