It was proposed by Robert McClurg and seconded by Patrick Millar that the accounts be accepted.

The chairman thanked Sam in his absence for the carrying out his duties with great efficiency and keeping everything up to date. Also, with regards to gift aid the band has recovered a very welcome rebate, and this was due to Sam’s efforts.

The chairman then thanked all the officers and committee for their continued support through the year and also the band members for their commitment to the band. The band had a very busy year with the usual parades and concerts however the highlight was the bands 80" year concert held in the War Memorial Hall in Crossgar on 6/09/2025 which was very well supported and the hall was full. Again, the band had played at various venues over the Christmas period and raised £6562.00 for action cancer, special thanks to Dawn Stweart for undertaking all the necessary arrangements to organise these events.

Thomas then commented on the resignation of our conductor Stephen Cairns and acknowledged all the hard work and commitment he had given to the band in his time with us, however on a positive note the band had been successful in filling the role of conductor by appointing Ryan Parks and Thomas welcomed him to the band assured him that the band looked forward to working with him.

All offices were declared vacant and Thomas asked Robin to conduct the election of officers for the incoming year.

Robin thanked Thomas for the invitation to be present and apologised for not being able to attend the concert due to another engagement but he wished the band every success in the future.

Robin then asked for proposals for President and it was proposed by Callum Bowsie and seconded by Patrick Millar that all officers be re-elected in block, this was agreed unanimously by all present.

Robin thanked everyone for making his job so easy and wished all officers well for the incoming year and asked Thomas to carry out the rest of the business.
