Trustees, Annual Report, 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2023 Friends of Holy Family (Charity No.: Nl 103845) Holy Family Primary School 1 Drumnaconagher Road Downpatrick County Down BT30 9AN Governing document and summary purposes of the charity Friends of Holy Family is constituted under a constitution adopted at an Extraordinary General meeting on 31 July 2015. The purpose of Friends of Holy Family is to advance the education of pupils in Holy Family Primary School. in particular by: Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school., Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. These purposes are carried out by: 1. Fundraising for resources within the School 2. Helping in and around the school as required and facilitating communication between teaching staff and parents in relation to the education and needs of the children at the School" 3. Providing opportunities for social events I networking for children, parents and teachers within the School. Public Benefit Friends of Holy Family met regularly this year to discuss and plan for events throughout the year. During planning the trustees had a regard to the Charity Commission Nl's 'Public Benefit requirement, statutory guidance. Activities Achievements and Outcomes FOHF sent Miss Smyth a bouquet of flowers on her retirement. In November 2022 we began our fundraising with a Smarties 20p challenge, giving all pupils a tube of smarties and then asking them to return it filled with 20p's. We then held a Christmas raffle at the end of the calendar year before the pupils finished school for Christmas. In 2023 FOHF organised an adult only Bingo evening at the local GAA hub, this was a great success and a parent at the school was able to gain a charity match donation from their place of work for this event. We ended the academic year with a summer raffle and an end of year school disco, as normal the Holy Family Staff. Parents, Carers and local community did not let us down with their generosity.

The Children of Holy Family Primary School all benefited from the money raised from the raffles. FOHF funded activities throughout the school year. FOHF funded the Halloween Uganda danceathon by supplying refreshments for the whole school whilst they raised money for Uganda, we supplied winners medals and refreshments at school sports day, refreshments at the end of school disco, P7's tie for the Post Primary School at their leaving. FOHF also funded the cost of the buses for every class school trip, cinema tickets for every pupil and pizza for the winning class of the Mathletics school competition. FOHF also supplied So￿are licenses for the Holy Family Primary School. Signed on behalf of the trustees..
