Barnamaghery Rural Society

The Society met on the above date and Dougie welcomed everyone to the meeting.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and agreed as correct.
All offices were declared vacant and Dougie asked for proposals for the officers for the incoming year.
It was proposed by Alan Jackson and seconded by William Moody that all officers be reelected in block.

This was passed unanimously by all present.
Dougie reported that the accounts had been approved by the independent persons and were available for anyone to see if they so wished.
Dougie thanked everyone for their support through the year and said that the Burns night and the trip to see the Sir Samuel Kelly lifeboat in Donaghadee were good events and enjoyed by all who were able to attend.
There was a discussion about holding another Burns night on 21/01/26 and all agreed that we should proceed with organising this event.
Also, Thomas was to make enquiries about a speaker for the next meeting, namely Callum Bousie, Hypo Hounds and Austin Cheevers were mentioned.
It was then noted that the Lodge were concreting the car park and it was proposed by Armour Jacson and seconded by Rita McClurg that we donate £1000 to the Lodge to help fund the work.
There was no other business so everyone enjoyed a cup of tea and a chat before heading home.
