LISBURN CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH TRUSTEE REPORT 2021 The minister of the above church exists to proclaim and advance the Christian faith as set out in the Bible which we believe to be the inerrant Word of God to all who attend or live in the surrounding area. Before each service a prayer meeting is held. The fellowship has approximately 70 families connected to it with a regular attendance of approximately 70 on a Sunday morning and around 30 in the evening. Although we met as a church on the l January 21, following guidelines, it was decided on th the 7 January to close the church again along with our weekly prayer meeting due to Covid restraints. th th We closed from 7 January- 24 March 21. During this time we ran some morning services over Facebook/You Tube. th We recommenced our morning Services on 24 March 21 with various visiting speakers as th we didn't currently have a minister. On the 28 May it was decided to recommence our evening services although would have these in another hall. No other meeting took place. In September 21, our Bows Brigade recommenced, following guidelines from Headquaters and in October our Girls's Brigade began. We were able to recommence our Parents and Toddlers in October 21, for parents around the community. It has been good to see these meetings opening again to meet with families again of the community and teach the children from the Bible and see parents coming in. At the end of November 21 we were able to introduce and induct a new minister to the church and through December were able to carry out some Christmas services. The financial need of the fellowship is funded mainly by freewill contributions from members and adherents with the main outlay being visiting speakers, Caretakers salary and contributions given to members of the congregation who would be involved in missionary work to help with expenses.
