Report to Annual General Meeting 10th October2024 for the financial year ending 31st
July 2024.
Aughlish Ulster Scots Group has been established to promote awareness of the cultural
heritage of people of the Ulster Scots community in the Scarva area.
During the year we organised a range of activities aimed at meeting our objectives.
These included regular educational and information events with a range of speakers
covering a variety of topics relevant to the history language and culture of the area.
We organised a very successful community fun day with various activities and
attractions as well as showcasing our history and culture through performance and
exhibitions.
Building on last years Coffee and Chat mornings for senior citizens we delivered a
successful programme of Senior Citizens lunches with entertainment or informative
talks providing a warm and welcoming space for vulnerable people in the community.
The retained profits at the end of the year amounted to £758.42. We have no other
assets.
