AUGHLISH ULSTER SCOTS GROUP CHARITY 103811 th Report to Annual General Meeting 14 October 2023 for the financial year ending 31st July 2023. Aughlish Ulster Scots group has been established to promote awareness of the cultural heritage (including history, language, music, literature and folklore) of people of the Ulster- Scots community in the Scarva area. During the year we organised a number of activities aimed at meeting our objectives. These included regular educational and information events with a range of speakers covering a variety of topics relevant to the history language and culture of the area. We commenced a new project "Return to Normality" during the year aimed at bringing people together and restoring confidence in people to return to events after the issues around Covid and Lockdown. These included a Seniors Christmas Dinner and "Coffee and Chat" mornings with speakers and a series of craft workshops. In addition, we organised a range of social events commemorating and celebrating the likes of Burns Night and St Patricks Day: The retained profits at the end of the year amounted to £4419.99. We have no other assets.
