Objectives
Ballyrcagh Silvcr Band is cstablishcd io advance thc cducation of thc public in brass band music and
in Ihc pldying of brass band instrumcnts by giving pcrfomiancc for the bcncfit of thc general public
and by ihc provision of training and education.
Key Activities in this year
Ballyrcagh Silvcr Band attcndcd many diffcrcnt engagements during thc year in our local communily
and also further aficld. Also, as part of our rcpcrtoire wc hosted our own conccrt and also lcd a local
or<inge lodgc in the annual 12 of July procecdings.

gcncral guidance on public bencfit whcn rcviewing our objectives and in planning our future aclivities
to ensure that these achieve the associalion's purposes and providc bcnefit to bcncficiarics.
Financial review
As at 3 1st March 2023 the charity had total unrestrictcd funds of £24,257 (2022 - £21,315) and total
restrictcd funds of £Nil (2023 £Nil).

Ballyreagh Silver Band have a Rcserves Policy, which rcquircs that rcscrvcs arc built or maintained at
a Icvcl which ensur¢s that the organisations core activities could continue during a pcriod or
unforescen dI￿lculty and ihat ihc organisations known liabililies will bc paid should the organisalion
ccasc to Iradc.
Achievements Performance and Public Benefit
"I'hc dircci bcnefits of the Charilics purposcs are by providing a professional tutor on a wcckly basis
lor individuals of all ages to comc and to Icarn how to play brass band inslrumcnts and to read or
follow music. -l-hcse lessons arc providcd frcc of charge to young pcoplc, thcy also provide an
opportunity for older individuals to learn how to play or rcncw a talcnt or hobby that they had ycars
bcforc.
Therc arc many benefits for individua15 to learn and play a brass instrumcnt. Ihc more obvious may bc
thc lalcnt and undcrstanding of playing and rcading music. Other bcnefits that p¢oplc can gain from
thc opportunity that wc arc providing is a social aspect, Inccting ncw people from diffcrcnt
backgrounds as everyonc comes together for thc same outcome of playing Jnusic. Furthcm]orc, it
helps to provide childrcn with a boost of confidcnce which can hclp in oihcr aspects of their lives. The
Chairty also helps build community rclationships as thc band perfonns as cross-coinmunity cvcnts.

rcasonablc responsible steps for the prcvcntion and dctcction of fraud and oiher irregularities.
