**Purposes:** The group is established to provide a local educational resource, to promote and preserve the culture and heritage of local people in particular those who reside in the Bendooragh area; to promote cultural confidence and civic pride, bolster morale of the community and harness the abilities of local people; to facilitate the examination, exploration and appreciation by all of Ulster scots language, history, music, tradition heritage and culture in an open and positive manner to encourage mutual understanding.
