The Trustees, who are also dirpctor5 for the purposes of company lalv. present their report along with the financial
statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2024. The financial statements have been prepared in
accordan￿ with the accounting policies sel out on page10.
ConsUtution
Armagh County Agricultural Show Society is an incorporated body and is a recognised charity by HM Revenue and
Customs. Amiagh County Agricultural Show Scciety was regislered as a charity by the Charity Commission
Northem Ireland on 14 June 2003 under number104972.

The Trustees who have served during the year are detsiled out on page 3.
Who are Amiagh County Agrlcultural Show Society
The Show Committee has the power to have and exercrse general supervision and control over the affairs of the
Society. The propety, funds and securities of the ScKiety are vested in Committee to be utilised in the purpose of
fulfilling the charitable objectives of the Society.
The Society's charitatAe objeclives are:
The promotion of agriculture in Northem Ireland by holding an annual agricultural show, and by delivering
agricultural instruclion through exhibitions, lectures. and other such means as may from time to time be
found expedienL
The promotion of industrtes, arL sciences, and literature. These have always been treated as minor in
relation to the main objective of promoting agriculture.

Statement of Public Benefit
The Trustees believe that both our purposes and the activities undertaken in this last financial year clearly satisfy
elements of the public benefit requirement.
The committee considers that these objectives, activities, and goals have a clear public benefit in enhancing the
social, economic, and cultural well-bring of rural communities.
The public benefits include..
Improving standards of livestock and agricultural pr&tices within the agricultural sector in Northern Ireland
in particular, and teyond.
Preserving and maintaining high standards and skill levels within the agricultural sector in Northem Ireland,
and beyond.
Developing and preserving rural crafts and craftsmanship necessary to enhance the agricultural sector in
the Province.
Ensuring that rural traditions and skills are passed down through successive generations of the agricultural
community.
Improving the welfare of agricultural animals through the recognition of high standards of agricultural
husbandry throughout the Province and beyond.
Enhancing the general public's knowledge and understanding of the Province's agri-fc()d sector.
Achievements and Performance
Amiagh County Show is one ofthe longest-running shows in Ireland with a report of a show being held in the Cty of
Amiagh as far back as 1829.
The agriculture, local food, and rural life elements of our Show continue to be the driving force behind our
organisation. However, we make sure every effort is made to cater for all tastes and interests of the thousands of
visitors that attend the event each year and the programme is constantly updated to reflect and respond to those
interests.
Financial Review
During the year ended 31 De￿mber 2024, the charity received total income of£192,273 and had total expenditure of
£137,450, yielding a surplus of £54,823.
Movements in tangible assels during the year are shown in the Notes to the Financial Statements.
Risk Management
The Trustees have examined the major strategic, business and operational risks which the charsty faces and confimi
thal systems have been established to enable regular reports to be produced so that the necessary steps can be
taken to reduce these risks.

Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities
The TrUSt￿S are resFonsible for preparirvJ the Trustees. Annual Report and the Finartial Statements in accordance
with the applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Stsndards.
The law applicable to charities in Northem Ireland requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each
financial year. Under that law the trustees have prepared the financial statements in accordance with Generally
Accepted Accounting Practs.￿ in the United Kingdom (accounting standards issued by the Financial Reporting
Council in the UK, including Charities SORP (FRS 102). Accounting and Reporting by Charit'es: Statements of
Recommended p￿t￿e applioble to Chatities preparing their &counts in ￿rdan￿ with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland l-RS102) and promulgated by the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in the United Kingdom and United Kingdom Law). Under that law the trustees must not
approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair VEW of the state of the affairs
of the charity and of the statement of financial activits'es of the charity for that Feric4J.
In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to:
select Suitab￿ accounting policies and then apply t1￿ consi>tently',
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP.,
make judgements and ests'mates that a reasonable and prudent.,
state whether the application of accounting standards have been followed. subjeyt to any material
departures disclosed and explained the Financial Statements.,
prepare the Financial Statements on the going con￿rn ba&s unless it is inappropriate to presume that the
charity will continue in business.
The trustees are res￿nsIble for keeping proper accounting records 'Nhich disclose with reasonable accuracy at any
'me the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the
Companies Act 2006, Ihe Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2CNJ8 and the Charity {AccLJunts and Reports) Regulations
(Northem Ireland} 2008. They a￿ also ￿S￿nSIble for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the p￿vention and detection of fraud a￿1 other iwularities.
The trustees are restKinsible for the Maintenan￿ and integnty of the corporate and financial infomation i￿luded on
the charity's website. Legislation in the United Kingdom goveming the preparation and dissemination of financial
statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.
Statement as to disclosure to our independent examiner
In so far as the trustees are aware at the timiro of approving our trustees, annual reFQrt'.
there is no relevant infonnab'on of which Ihe charitable company's independent examiner is unaware,. and
the trustees have taken all steps that they ought to have taken to make themselves aware of any relevant
informakn'on and to establish that the company's independert examiner is aware of that infomiation.
