The Charity was formed in December 1934. The Charity is governed by a ConsStuSon.

The Charity is consStuted a trust.

The Charitable purposes of charity are to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potenSals as individuals, as responsible ciSzens and as members of their local, naSonal and internaSonal communiSes.

To further these purposes for the public benefit, we carried out regular weekly meeSngs, including indoor and outdoor acSviSes, encouraging young people to learn by doing through the working towards and earning of different types of badges, Beaver, Cub and Scout Camps at which the young people undertook new and challenging acSviSes.

The main achievements of 1st Greenisland Scout Group in the year were the provision of regular SecSon meeSngs for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts; all young people aged between 6 and 17 - an average weekly aXendance of circa 60 young people. In addiSon, events were aXended at District, County and Northern Ireland level. Across the SecSons there have been many awards through AcSvity Badges, Staged AcSvity Badges and Challenge Awards appropriate to each SecSon.

The trustees have read the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance, and have had regard to this when running the charity.

In the financial 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2019 the Charity had an income of £7,522.37 and an expenditure of £8,009.30.

There are no funds held by the charity that are materially in deficit.
