## _**MAGUIRESBRIDGE VILLAGE & RURAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION TRUSTEES REPORT – YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024**_ 

## **Objectives & Activities:** 

Our main objectives and activity as a group this year were improving and investing in our village Christmas lights. We also organized and had our Annual Christmas Switch On Event. As an organization we met several times during the year to agree on new lights to be purchased and organized and planned our Switch on Event as well as discussing other matters concerning the community. 

## **Achievement & Performances:** 

Our main achievements this year were the purchase and erection of our new Christmas lights, and our Annual Christmas Lights switch on event. This event was very well attended by all the community and was enjoyed by both young and old alike. The children enjoyed the arrival of Santa and the distribution of a small gift while everyone else enjoyed the entertainment provided by our local DJ and local Silver Band. 

## **Financial Review:** 

We relied mainly on the grant from Fermanagh & Omagh District Council. We also did a collection in the local community to raise funds for our Christmas event. The end of year closed with a bank balance of £4395.17.
