## Activities

**Purposes:** The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are to:-  (1)	Enhance the development and education of children under the age of fourteen years by:  (i)	offering appropriate play facilities, providing a comfortable and safe learning environment, so that children will develop their potential naturally and normally, and ensuring that the Charity offers opportunities for all children regardless of religion, culture, race or means;  (ii)	offering appropriate professional childcare facilities creating opportunities to enable children and parents who are experiencing social exclusion as a result of deprivation, disadvantage or disability to access education, training or employment.   (iii)	advancing the education and training of persons in the provision of such care, recreational and educational facilities and establishing and maintaining standards of excellence in playgroup practice.  (2)	Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Galliagh and its environs (the “area of benefit”) without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to: 	 (i)	promote community development by providing facilities for community and voluntary groups and organisations;  (ii)	provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said residents;  (iii)	relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability or other disadvantage;  (iv)	advance education, health and well-being;  (v)	promote good community relations and social cohesion, racial harmony and equality and diversity.
