**Purposes:** To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Glenarm Village and its environs (Glenarm Ward) by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, in particular to help the inhabitants to acquire skills which will help them to find employment, to conserve and protect the natural and built heritage and environment of the area of benefit and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants, especially those in need of such facilities as a result of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances.
