Report of the trustees for the ended 31st March 2023
The trustees present their report with the financial statement of the charity year ended 31st march 2023.The trustees have adopted the provisions of accounting and reporting by charities statement of recommended practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with financial reporting standard.
Objectives & activities:
Objective & aims.
The objectives of the charty are to promote the health and fitness of the local community and surrounding areas by training and displaying the sport of boxing.
The charity was established to work with children and vulnerable young people.it helps those on the margins of society-the socially disenfranchised,the elderly people with disabilities ect. The charity meets the public benefit criteria throughout the activities undertaken, works include education training and the advancement of health through amateur sport and recreation.
Achievement and performance:
Charitable activities.
This year started of a successful year for the charity, overall membership dropped slightly, youth membership is around 65 young people. Some members gained employment after being put through their qualifications.
St Pauls volunteers offered employability support,created health and fitness programmes for children and young adults and there nightly subsidised fitness classes available to all.
St Pauls boxing club developed an allotment with local children,teaching them how to grow produce and to prepare it to eat healthy
St Pauls Club opens at the weekends to help reduce community antisocial behaviour.
St Paul's club took its young members on cross-community projects. We organised workshops with PSNI & services to help our young children understand the social dangers of drugs, alcohol misuse, antisocial activity and we look to improve mental health, peer pressure, suicide, positive attitude, & support networks.
St Pauls club has embarked on a project to work with club from different religious/cultural backgrounds.
The club took part in competitions across all levels, from county to national

The charity revenue comes from a variety of sources including Belfast city council Halifax foundation, Department of foreign Affairs, Community Foundation, donations and public funding as well as usual membership subscriptions.
