Activities

The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are to:- (1) Relieve those in need, in particular but not limited to those in poverty, financial need, hardship or poor physical or mental health by: (a) distributing reconditioned bicycles and bike parts to developing countries throughout the world; (b) providing affordable, reconditioned bicycles and bike parts in Northern Ireland. (2) Advance environmental protection through refurbishment, reuse and recycling of bicycles with the aim of reducing the volume of bikes being discarded for landfill or abandoned in the community. (3) Advance health by promoting cycling as a healthy pursuit for all ages and groups within society. (4) Work in partnership with other organisations, agencies and bodies in Northern Ireland to: (a) promote safe cycling by offering cycling classes, cycling training and organised cycling events to all members of the public; (b) promote cycling as a sustainable, cheap and enjoyable means of transport. (5) Promote and support volunteering and provide volunteering opportunities that will help enhance the social, communication and life skills of those involved.
